Types of Tooth Bleaching Part 3

Tooth bleaching pastes

One of the simplest dental tooth bleaching types that in addition are available over the counter are considered to be tooth bleaching tooth pastes. This method is definitely easy in use, as you have to use them just like normal toothpastes and they may run you a bit higher than the regular toothpaste. Despite all these advantages I can’t say they are very effective. What I am trying to say is that the tooth whitening pastes do not cause any significant bleaching effect on the teeth, nevertheless they function as well as any other toothpaste. The thing is that “some over-eager individuals who may brush vigorously and many times a day hoping to achieve a great result, which may do more harm than good to their teeth.” Says Dr. Mujtaba.

 Tooth whitening chewing gums

It is not a secret that the most usually advertised method to whiten your teeth is tooth bleaching chewing gums that contain bicarbonate of soda, that is used in the tooth bleaching toothpastes, as well. Anyway they do not contain any whitening agent that is used in other, more effective bleaching systems. But if you want to try this method most professional dentists recommend that “the gum should be masticated for around 20mins each, four times a day. Any contrast in shade would take up to four weeks to be obvious”.
